Fellowships

The Islands Society currently offers select non-resident fellowship programs. These fellowships focus on the professional development of mid-career individuals seeking to demonstrate their thought leadership on major issues affecting island communities, including charity, conservation, democracy, education, environment, health, innovation, security, or sustainability. Through our fellowship programs, individuals can conduct research that advances work on particular issues affecting islands. They can also develop new community-based initiatives. Along the way, our fellows inevitably grow their professional networks. Our Leadership Team provides each fellow with the guidance and support necessary for their research to be successful. This includes leveraging our global publishing and marketing platforms to publish and promote their work.
