Hawaiian Female Leaders
The Islands Society believes that local female leaders in Hawaii should be given a global platform to share their insights on how the health and well-being of girls and women can be improved in island communities around the world. Through the Hawaiian Female Leaders Program, the Islands Society recognizes a local female leader from one of the Hawaiian islands each quarter. We then provide that individual with an opportunity to share her insights on how the health and well-being of girls and women in island communities can be improved based on her own life experiences. Although preference is given to women on the Big Island, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kauai, the program is open to women from across the state.
