XTERRA Stars Return to Tahiti

November 5, 2026

He is one of the leading figures in the XTerra world. Arthur Serrières, a three-time world champion in the discipline, is back on the fenua. A particular challenge this year for the athlete designated as the event’s patron. “This year I’m going all out: I’ll run and I am the event’s patron. It’s an honor to be the patron of this event. I’ve already come four or five times. It’s a place I deeply appreciate. I’ve planned to stay here for the entire European winter to train, and there is the Polynesian Performance Center (CPP) swimming program that normally allows me to swim with them.”

With Arthur Serrières, other French and global references in XTerra have also traveled to the islands: Emma Ducreux and Marin Gauthier. The two are familiar with Moorea’s trails as well. In 2024, Emma Ducreux won the women’s division. Marin Gauthier had placed fourth in the men’s. “I had loved it so much two years ago,” recalls Emma Ducreux. “I couldn’t be available last year and this year I was. I had just finished the World Cup in China, so when I learned it would be right after, I booked a flight and I’m back on this paradise island.”

On Saturday in Moorea, in Opunohu Bay, our Tahitian athletes, led by Thomas Lubin, will try to rival the XTerra stars.
